Anima Mundi Pax

Immersed in nature, Andrea creates atmospheric and sensorial watercolors, dreamscapes that become contemplative meditations, inspired by the peace and harmony of our natural habitat.

ANIMA MUNDI PAX

Anima Mundi Pax, the life force to which we all belong, the true bond and common affiliation of every living being on this planet. In this intrinsic connection, the basis for harmony and peace in the world is formed. In a world wracked by conflict, Art must safeguard the spirit, enlighten the soul, and soothe the mind with calm and serenity. Anima Mundi Pax reminds us of the point at which we have lost sight of this connection and invites us to re- evaluate our affinity with nature.

The artistic movement

They appear out of the mist, just as they were painted. Natural environments, placid lakes, and stormy peaks, are caught en plein air, in those still unspoiled corners where the soul of the world manifests itself. Water and colors are pervaded by an eternal, unknown, and supernatural light. The soul of the world contemplates, questions, feels, and manifests the cosmic need for peace and tranquillity. In a world wracked by conflict and adversity, Art offers us a refuge for the spirit, illuminating the soul and flooding the mind with calm and serenity, inspired by the peace and harmony of our natural environments. As we witness the ecological and climatic repercussions of our actions, it becomes evident that our fears are a manifestation of a deeper truth: the desire to restore harmony between humanity and the natural world. Anima Mundi Pax is inspired by the techniques and observations of the nineteenth-century British writer, painter, poet, and art critic John Ruskin, who believed that nature, in itself, was already a work of art and that spiritual and emotional truth could be found by observing its beauty up close. The movement experiments with multiple motifs and light effects, with the artists painting outdoors and immersing themselves in unspoiled nature.
